No one was injured in the April shooting, though police say there was damage to the residence and a vehicle. The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says two men have been arrested and charged in relation to a shooting at a home where the resident had been a victim of extortion threats. The incident, which damaged the home and a vehicle, happened on April 22 around 12:40 a.m. PT in the 13400 block of 87A Avenue, according to an SPS news release issued Wednesday morning. No one was injured in the shooting, police said. The SPS said its extortion response team identified a suspect vehicle and obtained a search warrant, and the two men were arrested during the execution of the warrant. Twenty-two-year-old Damanjeet Singh and 30-year-old Pardaman Singh are charged with discharging a firearm into a place knowing or being reckless as to whether someone was present, and one count of possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence.
