On September 6, the annual Milad un Nabi Grand Program, honoring and celebrating the blessed birth of the Beloved Prophet
Muhammad (saw), was held at Masjid Anwar-e-Madina, Surrey. The program was a great success, filled with knowledge, spirituality, and blessings.
The program began with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an by a Hafiz, followed by soul-stirring nasheeds recited by Qari Hafiz Amin, Saiyad Hamza Dean, Yaavar Yaqub, Saiyad Faraz, and Ali Ahmed in a group. The MC conducted the program very efficiently, ensuring smooth proceedings.
Imam and Khatib, Maulana Saiyed Imroz Dean Saify, delivered a thought-provoking speech. Drawing directly from the Qur’an and Hadith, he explained the Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jama‘at’s belief about the Prophet Muhammad (saw). He reminded the gathering that when we read the sermons of the Prophet, recite his praises, or send salutations upon him, but rather to constantly remember and embody the teachings of the Prophet in our lives.
The keynote guest speaker was Mufti Mohammad Aslam Naqashbandi Qadri Bandiyalvi, visiting from the UK. Mufti Sahib highlighted and uplifted the blessed teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). A day earlier, he had also delivered the Friday Khutba and led the congregational prayer.
The program concluded with Salaam and salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad (saw), followed by a heartfelt du‘a. After the conclusion of the program, a Milad March was held along King George Boulevard and the surrounding streets. The procession was filled with recitation of naats, darood o salaam, and expressions of love for the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw).
