Consulate of Pakistan in Vancouver organized an event Kashmir Solidarity at a restaurant ‘ Taste of Lahore’ in Surrey on 5 February 2020 The event started with Tilawat Kalam e Pak by Molana Sajid Khan and after the recitation of Quran the National Anthems of Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir were played.
Messages of the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan were read by the Vice Consul Ayesha Salim Malik.
The event was attended by a large number of Pakistanis and the Kashmiri community.
Mr Furqan Gehlen coordinator Kashmir Committee in Vancouver briefed the audience about Kashmir committee’s efforts in projecting Kashmir issue at the highest level.
The Consul General Dr. Mohammad Tariq
underlined the importance of the occasion and highlighted the grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir especially in wake of August 5 action of Government of India and impressed upon the community to continue to highlight Kashmir issue at their levels.
At the end Molana Sajid Khan made Duaa for all the Kashmiries who are severe suffering in Curfew since August 5, 2019, he also duaa for all Muslim Ummah.
