Another one in the books… the 19th Annual Ramadan Spirit for 2023 was held on Sunday, April 16th Brought by Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver -Pakistan Canada Association (PCA)
Vancouver’s Muslim Community giving back today serving well over a thousand meals to our brothers and Sisters experiencing Homelessness, Hunger, Addiction and Mental Health issues on the Lower East Side of Vancouver
We said we would go forward come rain or come shine… we got cool weather and a torrential downpour… Our tireless volunteers were out in full force sharing and serving with compassion, kindness and love piping hot Hot Chocolate and delicious meals from the top Halal Restaurants in the Lower Mainland During this month of Ramadan we go without food and water by choice, serving during inclement weather while those out on the streets endure conditions where they don’t know what their next meal will be or where to stay while being subject to the elements and dangers of life on this lonely corner in East Vancouver
We pray for them and all of humanity for for a better life with dignity and a sense of community for the enrichment of us all

I would I like to personally than my cousins Abdul Rauf of Galaxy Travel and President of FOPCA for his helping hand and teamwork since we started this effort out of Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver all those years ago and continue to do so to this day and beyond… our children who have come out and volunteered since they were in their diapers as toddlers and now are taller than us… Alhamdulilah
The many volunteers who came in the rain and cold, Abid Chaudhry who served and took many photos and videos of the occasion, our dear brother Majeed Butt, Sister Lita, her brother Ajmal Nakeb and father who served on the front line for the whole program.
Rahat Rao Sahib who has for many years ministered and served to those in need in Surrey Central and for joining us today.
My brother and compatriot Malik Irfan who added to an almost bottomless supply of Samosa’s to the delight of our friends being served.
