The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Canada hosted a Family Fest 2024 at Bear Creek Park in Surrey, drawing a large gathering of community members, dignitaries, families, and youth. The event, which took place on August 25, was a celebration of community spirit, cultural diversity, and family togetherness. Among the notable attendees were Br. Jvaed Abdullah – President ICNA Vancouver chapter, Mr. Sukh Dhaliwal, Member of Parliament for Surrey—Newton and Sajjad Ali – CEO of the Focus College, they joined the festivities and mingled with participants. Their presence underscored the significance of the event in fostering community engagement and inclusivity. The Family Fest featured a variety of activities catering to all age groups, including games, food stalls, and children’s entertainment. The event was not only a day of fun and entertainment but also an opportunity for community members to connect, share, and celebrate their successes.
ICNA offered appreciation certificates to the volunteers who outperformed in achieving various tasks.
In his address, Mr. Dhaliwal praised ICNA Canada for its dedication to promoting unity and harmony within the community. He emphasized the importance of events like Family Fest in bringing people together, fostering understanding, and building stronger community bonds.
