
Qari Ibrahim Bakeer is a world-renowned Quran reciter and scholar known for his melodious recitations of the Quran. Hailing from Egypt as he graduated from Al-Azhar University, he has gained widespread recognition for his beautiful and captivating recitations & his ability to touch the hearts of listeners with his recitations. He is also the founder of Maqamat Institute where he teaches and mentors students about the science of Maqamat.
On July 10, Qari Bakeer visited in Surrey Jameh Masjid and led the
Magrub prayer. Many Quran lovers show their spiritual feelings with the recitation of the Quran and Nasheed.
Mufti Osama Raja welcomed Qari Sheikh Ibrahim Bakeer and told about him that he has visited 33 countries where he awakened the magic of his beautiful voice by presenting the surahs of the Holy Quran and he has opened an institution called “Maqamat Foundation”, in which he educates how to recite the Holy Quran very beautifully. Different verses indicate different situations, and these verses should be recited according to their situations. For example, if a verse is about happiness, then it should be recited with a happy tone, and if it is about the wrath of Allah, then it should be read with the fear of Allah. He also explained how to recite the Quran at different timings for example morning, Tahujad, or in other time at different occasions. He mentioned the places and told everyone to focus all his attention while reciting, then he recited as per the styles of Qari Abdul Basit, Imams of Kaba, Masjid Nabvi, Kurdish, and Al Azhar styles. He emphasized that the recitation of the Quran should be done by the heart, to clean the heart not just the words but the feelings and the teachings which are given in the Quran.
In the end he also narrated a Nasheed in his beautiful voice.
