73rd Independence Day celebrated at Consul General Residence

The Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated on August 14 in a simple and graceful ceremony at the new residence of Consul General of Pakistan in Vancouver.


The day’s events included a flag hoisting ceremony. Ms. Khan was the master of ceremony. The ceremony started with the recitation of Quran by Qari Abdur Rehman. Ms. Ayesha Saleem Malik Vice-Consul read President Message in English and Prime Minister of Pakistan Independence Day Message in Urdu.


Dr. Muhammad Tariq, the Consul General, first congratulated all the Pakistani community on the 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan and highlighted the importance of the day in the history of Pakistan. He thanked everyone who joined him and his team at this historic occasion and the Flag hoisting ceremony.
A large number of community members were invited to this event. The special cake cutting ceremony for Independence Day of Pakistan was led by Dr. Muhammad Tariq and seniors members of the Pakistan Canada Association and community. This special occasion cake was prepared by the family of Mr. Salim Karim.
