Dawat e Islami’s preacher delivered a speech on the Blessed Night of Shab-e-Baraat in Faizan-e-Madina Surrey.
Br, Abid Attari conducted this program.
The topic was *“Deeds that would benefit in the grave”*
Hafiz Naseer Ahmad Attari(from USA) referenced the amazing book “Ahyaa-ul-Uloom”. Several Hadiths and references were mentioned to remind us to not indulge ourselves in this world to the extent that we would forget our hereafter.
Quoting a summary of a Hadith, he said, that once the last Prophet of Allah (SAW) asked Abu Zarr Ghafari (r.a), Tell me if you plan to travel, would you prepares for it. Abu Zarr (r.a)ه replied, of course, I would definitely prepared for it. The beloved Prophet (SAW) said: what is the plan for the Day of Judgment? Replying to his own question, He (SAW) said, should I not tell you about things that would benefit you on the Day of Judgment?
Siyduna Abu Zarr (r.a)replied: may my parents be sacrificed upon you, please do tell. Allah’s final Prophet (SAW) said، for the day of judgment, keep fast on extremely hot days, for the anxiety and fear of the grave, perform 2 rakat salah in the darkness (meaning Tahajjud). For worries and tensions, perform Hajj and by giving to the poor and needy.
Overall the summary of the speech was that we should not only perform the mandatory worships but also perform the optional worships in order to gain closeness to Allah Almighty and save ourselves from troubles in the hereafter.
We have been blessed with the environment of Dawat e Islami that motivates us to *“Strive to reform ourselves and the people of the entire world”.
* In order to reform ourselves we should participate in the weekly Ijtema that takes place at Faizan-e-Madina every Thursday at 7PM and to reforms the people of the entire world, we should travel in the 3 days Madani Qafila.
