Pakistan Consulate in Vancouver Marks May 9 Anniversary of “Bunyan-un-Marsoos”

On May 8, The 1st Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq commemorated at Consulate General of Pakistan, Vancouver.
The Consulate General of Pakistan, Vancouver commemorated the First Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq at a dignified ceremony held at the Consulate General. The event was attended by members of the Pakistani diaspora, community leaders, representatives of Pakistani associations, media persons and friends of Pakistan. A special video message from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar was played on this special occasion.          A photo exhibition was also arranged on the sidelines, highlighting the spirit of national unity, resilience and sacrifice demonstrated during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
In his remarks, the Consul General of Pakistan in Vancouver paid glowing tribute to the courage, professionalism and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces who stood as an iron shield in defence of the homeland. He stated that Marka-e-Haq symbolized the unity of the nation, the strength of Pakistan’s institutions and the unwavering resolve of the people of Pakistan to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national honour.
The Consul General underscored that Pakistan’s response during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos was measured, responsible and in accordance with international law. He reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to peace, regional stability and constructive engagement, while maintaining full capability and determination to defend itself against any aggression.
Lt General (R) Umar Farooq Durrani, keynote speaker on the occasion, highlighted the valour, bravery and operational preparedness of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. He stated that Marka-e-Haq demonstrated the Armed Forces’ professional excellence across land, air, sea, cyber and information domains. He noted that Pakistan effectively countered conventional and hybrid challenges, including proxy terrorism, false narratives and disinformation campaigns. He appreciated the unity of the people of Pakistan and the diaspora and urged all Pakistanis to work together for the progress, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
Representatives of the Pakistani community paid tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the national leadership and the people of Pakistan for standing resolute and united during Marka-e-Haq. The gathering concluded with prayers for the security, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and pledged that the spirit of Marka-e-Haq would continue to inspire the nation towards building a stronger, peaceful and resilient Pakistan.
