One Idea can change your life. One smile can spread and change many situations. One sweet sentence can save you from a storm of negative emotions. One good habit can get you a good return in the future. One bad habit can ruin your life. One change can lead to a completely different reality. One person can start a movement and create a cause.
The power of one person, decision, steps, and thoughts is the basis of many changes in life. The one moment was taken at the right time and the right place can change your future. As we live in society, share a community, family, friends, we are one collectively complete and incomplete at the same time which is why every single ‘one’ counts.
One second is transformed into one hour, one day, one week, months, and years. We should take care of this ‘one’ to the best of our capabilities. Value this one and time and it will value you back. By saving one dollar at a time, you can have enough to buy what you seek out to. The transaction feels even more satisfying even though there was an agonizing wait to it.
If all of us take caution in even saving one drop of water, a massive crisis can be avoided. If all of us start reusing cloth bags for our needs for even one day a week, we will help reduce our plastic consumption and relieve the ocean of debris. If all of us take the bus or walk for even one trip of the day, we will reduce our carbon footprint and reduce our unhealthy ways. The power of one decision can have a large impact on not just us, but the world around us.
It is difficult to motivate others no matter how noble the cause is. If we take one step towards our goals ourselves, it will spread to others to make one decision as well. Many might see your journey and ridicule it but often try it themselves on their own. Regardless of the reactions, we must continue in our journey to make each decision count towards our goal.
It is difficult to start something new but very easy to praise one that an individual already has. Neither action is good or bad but choosing not to do either because of what someone might say unpleasant words will lead to a life unfulfilled.
There are many people in the walks of life that will do things that will be inconvenient or outright frustrating. A person that is always late will get on your nerves enough for you to get irritated enough to react but we often forget to look at their efforts and their struggles. The one decision could be to lessen our judgment and accept the individual with their shortcomings to lead a better life for yourself.
So let us all join together to take one step to be a better parent, friend, colleague, and person.
