Patrick Brown, mayor of Brampton, Ont., joins race to lead federal Conservatives
On March 31, A very prominent Muslim lawyer Mr. Massood Joomratty invited the Muslim Community representatives at Taste of Lahore on a discussion with Worship Patrick Brown, the Mayor of Brampton, Ontario,  who has officially joined the race to lead the federal Conservatives, with a promise to heal the fractures that have erupted in the party over recent years. Mr. Joomratty said “It’s a conversation about the place of Muslims in Canada; particularly whether we have a place in the Conservative Party of Canada. We must engage with all parties and create our space and there is no better time than a leadership change” and that’s the reason of Mayor Patrick Brown visit in BC. Mr. Adam Ibrahim a team member of Mayor Brown given details his introduction and invited him to speak with BC Muslim Community. Hon. Brown said that in the GTA I do one volunteer for the most of welfare centre the fellow that runs it’s actually joined our leadership campaign I’ve gone and that the old Federal conservative party a lady Jenny Burns said you couldn’t get involved with Islamic relief. I went to Lebanon to volunteer in Islamic relief Canada a refugee camp Joy the Syrian refugee crisis. As a leader of the opposition and as me regret that I host my own iftar every year. Right now we’re out selling all our opponents in memberships. Time is I ask you for your help on this journey. That’s why I wanted to come tonight to answer any of your questions I’m an open book and I can tell you the reason people like God and we got a big team that are working day, and that’s how passionate we are about this so thank you for your generosity of your time this evening and I’m looking forward to the conversation we’re going to have to get them. After that Mr. Adam opened the floor for The United Muslim Forum members Media, & other community members, they raised many of these issues raised about Conservative policy on Islamophobia, Canadian foreign policy, Palestinians, Kashmiris, Afghanis, Syrian, Chinese, Ukraine are suffering a lot, Pakistan relations with Canada and its immigration process and many more issues has been discussed.
At the end Mr. Patrick appealed to join race to lead federal Conservatives membership drive.
