On April 17, Miracle Media celebrated its 25-year journey at the Tribe Management Conference Room, Scott Road, Surrey. The event began promptly at 7:00 PM, reflecting the organization’s tradition of punctuality.
Misbah Naseer opened the evening with welcome remarks and invited young Momin Naseer for the recitation of the Holy Quran. She also shared her experiences as part of the Miracle team. Shahrukh Naseer spoke about the venue and highlighted the future of Miracle Media, particularly the role of AI in digital growth.
A presentation showcasing the 25-year journey was also displayed.
Founder Nusrat Hussain reflected on the launch of the newspaper in 2001 and the early challenges, noting it was the first bi-weekly Muslim newspaper in BC.
He praised Mohammad Naseer Pirzada and his family for continuing and growing the publication.
In his address, Mohammad Naseer Pirzada thanked guests and described Miracle’s 25-year journey as a major milestone.
He shared that he joined in 2002 and introduced the Urdu section under the late Mohammad Rafiq. He paid tribute to late contributors including Azhar Syed and Molana Abdul Latif Naumani.
He also thanked event sponsors, volunteers, and office staff, and
acknowledged current Urdu Editor Khadija Naseer for continuing the Urdu section after Mohammad Rafiq.
Mr. Pirzada highlighted that Miracle Media has published over 673 editions and covered more than 3,000 events, with writers from around the world. He emphasized the publication’s role in community voice, political engagement, and continuity—even during the pandemic.
The awards ceremony honored current writers, advertisers, and supporters.
Notable attendees included MPs Sukh Dhaliwal and Randeep Sarai, along with BC NDP MLAs Amna Shah, Jagrup Brar, and Garry Begg.
The event was also attended by Vice Consul General of Pakistan Waqas Ahmed, Civic election candidates from Surrey ,Ashiyana Khan, as well as Yousef Barakat from Imagine Surrey, Bilal Cheema, from Surrey First and and other prominent community figures.
All MPs, MLAs, and the Vice Consul General delivered thoughtful and commendable remarks, acknowledging and appreciating
the 25-year journey of Miracle Media.
Following the Maghrib prayer, Arhum Sultan expressed his
affiliation with Miracle Media. Mr. Bilal Cheema and Ashiyana Khan also shared their views, highlighting the organization’s contributions and impact within the community.The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and dinner, making it a memorable celebration of a remarkable 25-year legacy.
