On May 31, The International Academy of Canada (IMAC) celebrated its 25th year (Silver Jubilee) Anniversary in Punjab Banquet Hall Surrey.
A large number of community members were invited to this celebration.
Mohammed Imraz startled program by the recitation of Holy Quran by Qari Mohammad Amin and Naats were Naats were then recited recited by Saad Salis, Hajan Zeenat Munaf and Abdul RasoolSalis. Director Muhammad Salim Chairman of IMAC gave welcome remarks. Mohammed Imraz invited the President IMAC. President Mr. Aseem Akhtar Khan He briefly described the 25 years history of IMAC and Fiji Islamic Centre in Surrey. and
tributed late Molana A.Latif Naumani .
MP Sukh Dhaliwal and MLA Jinny Sims presented Proclamations from federal and provincial governments respectively and appreciated the services of IMAC. Everyone fondly acknowledged the services of late Maulana Abdul Latif Naumani.
Mrs. Rukshana Khan, President of the Women chapter invited the special guest of the evening. Dr. Khan gave her remarks on IMAC Community Services at each level and appreciated the dedication of the Board of Directors and Volunteers. Mufti Ameer Hussain and BCMA President Asad Gondhal also acknowledged the services of Fiji Islamic Centre for the community. Br. Mohammad Yasin given details about IMAC’s CRA status and Fiji Islamic Centre Charity Number.
A large number of appreciation Awards were then distributed to acknowledge past and present board of directors, women’s chapter, Board of Trustees, Volunteers, Gold Sponsors, Sponsors, and Media representatives. IMAC, the board of directors and the sisters from the women’s chapter are immensely grateful to their sponsors whose support made the event successful.
At the end the Cake Cutting ceremony led by Peer Afzal Ahmed. A delicious
appetizers and dinner has been served.
