On Sep 28 & 29, the Pakistani Canadian Women’s Society(PCWS) sponsored two Pakistani Films, “Gungal & Glassworker” at the International South Asian Film Festival (iSAFF) at Landmark Cinemas Guildford Mall Theater.
Dr. Babara Rana thanked the iSAFF committee members and the Pakistani community, who have shown their interest in Pakistani Movies.
The “Gunjal” is a 2023 Pakistani action crime thriller film inspired by the true story of a Pakistani child labor activist Iqbal Masih, who led a movement against child labor in the 1990s before his tragic murder. The film is directed by Shoaib Sultan, produced by Nighat Akbar Shah, and written by Nirmal Bano and Ali Kazmi.
