On September 13, the grand 29th
Annual Jashn-e-Milad un Nabi was organized at the Islamic Centre under the banner of the Fiji Islamic
Society of Canada (FISC). The Fiji Centre was completely filled with attendees, reflecting the community’s deep love and respect for the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw).
The Master of Ceremony, Br. Asif Ali, opened the program with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Imam Osama Khan,
followed by nasheeds presented by AICP, Daff Group from New Westminster Islamic Centre. Naat recitors Riyan, Ahmed Muzamil Ahmed, Hafiz Rahat Rana, and Salman Suhail Raza. President of FISC, Mr. Asim Akhtar Khan, warmly welcomed both the local attendees and guests from outside the city. He then introduced the honorable speakers and guests, including Mr. Saleem Patel from Edmonton, Imam Yama Niazi(Vancouver) and renowned Naat khawn Sheikh Mohammed Tausif Raza Qadri Najmi. The first speaker, Imam Yama Niazi, delivered an inspiring bayan on the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad (saw).
This was followed by beautiful naats recited by Sheikh Tausif. Br. Saleem Patel also shared words on the teachings of the Prophet(SAW) and introduced the distinguished Guest of Honour, Hazrat Allama Maulana Shakir Nori, Amir of Sunni Islami, Mumbai, India. Allama Shakir Nori, a renowned scholar,
delivered a deeply moving speech highlighting the noble attributes of the Prophet Muhammad (saw).
He advised the gathering to make it a habit to recite Darood Shareef at least 50 times daily, promising the immense blessings and rewards from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta‘ala.
The program concluded with Durood-o- Salaam and a heartfelt du‘a. A refreshments and delicious dinner was then served to all attendees, marking a blessed and memorable evening.
