Amir Khan defeats Australia’s Billy Dib in Jeddah to win welterweight title

The Khan-Dib fight was one of six bouts at the Jeddah event
British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan has shown off his impressive abilities in his clas against Australia’s Billy Dib in Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City. After a string of embarrassing defeats, Khan has come back to claim the WBC international welterweight title.
He defeated Dib after a flurry of combination of punches sent him to the floor in the second round of the fight. Khan won the fight soon after in the fourth round.
The Sydney born Dib who is a two-time world champion, took the fight on short notice after Khan’s original opponent, India’s Neeraj Goyat, withdrew in June after being injured in an automobile accident.
