Muslims of the Lower Mainland gathered at Fiji Islamic Centre Surrey on October 23rd, where the International Muslim Academy of Canada (IMAC) of Canada organized the annual Jashne Eid Milad-un-Nabi(saw).
Br. Aseem Akhtar Khan was the MC of this event. After the recitation of Quran, local Naat Khawans recited Naats in their beautiful voices included Rayan Ahmad, Br Omair Khan, Br, Muzamil Ahmad, Qari Mohammad Amin, Saad A.Salis, and Br, Abdul Rasool Salis. Mr. Mohammad Salim, Sr. VP of the committee introduced the special guest MP Surrey-Newton Sukh Dhaliwal. Mr. Dhaliwal first thanked the community to re-elect him in Sep 2021 Election and then congratulated all the Muslim community on the Birth day of Prophet Mohammad(saw).

Latif Naumani, Imam, and Khateeb of Fiji Islamic Centre delivered a beautiful bayan in Urdu in which he focused on Quran Ayats (Sura Al Baqara, Sura Dhua) and the birth of Prophet Mohammad(SAW), his Miracles, his Zikar, and teaching and gave details of “ Bi Iznillah “(with the will and permission of Allah Ta’ala). In Quran it was used for Prophet Issa(A.S) and compared with Prophet Mohammad(SAW)”Iznillah” which was given by Allah(SWT) to the holy Prophet. Maulana Naumani also explained love with Allah and his messenger Mohammad(PBUH). He said that we always praise in our Milad that Nabi (Prophet SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, and He is not Allah(SWT) and neither equal to Allah. Therefore, it is not Shirk. It is an authentic Fatwah of Ahel Sunnah wal Jamaht. Maulana Naumani asked everyone to promise that they would obey the teachings of the Prophet and recite Darood daily. He also thanked all the guests, organizers and volunteers of this big annual Jashne Eid Milad un Nabi (saw)event who prepared and served food and made a tremendous effort overall to make this event successful. After the Durood-o- Salam, Pir Afzal Ahmad Nakshbandi, Imam, and Khateeb of Bullay Shah Academy of Canada, made Duaa for the Muslim Ummah.
