In last October-November, the federal government was under severe public criticism, in which the slogan of making Canada a 51st state after the election of US President Donald Trump and then the issue of imposing a 25% tariff on Canada led to Justin Trudeau’s resignation as prime minister. At that time, the Liberal position was very weak. It was losing its popularity among the public. Finally, Mark Carney took office as the Liberal leader and the new Prime Minister of Canada during this difficult and critical time. Mark Coney used his efforts tin the last 45 days. And his tireless work paid off in the election and finally in the federal election, the Liberal Party was able to win 169 seats out of 343. To form a majority government in House of Common, 172 seats are needed, so due to the difference of only three seats, they will not be able to form a majority government and they will have to join the NDP to form their next government.
However, the NDP’s sword will continue to hang over the government, which may prove to be an obstacle in making many decisions. Thus, Carney made many promises in his election campaign, including expanding Canada’s foreign trade relations to reduce dependence on the United States. In addition, he had declared the United States as a country that can no longer be trusted. He condemned President Trump’s threats during his election campaign, saying that Donor Trump wants to break us up so that he can own us. He wants to seize our resources. He wants our water. He wants our land. He wants our country. This cannot happen.
Now it remains to be seen how the new government, led by Mark Carney, will handle relations with the United States, and especially with President Donald Trump. Canada is currently facing significant economic problems, and President Trump’s tariffs have further exacerbated the problems.
Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre, Liberal Party leader Mark Carney, and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh discussed the country’s current economic problems in the pre-election debates.
The Liberal Party and the Conservative Party were in a tight race. Pierre Poilievre fought hard, and when the results began to come in, it was difficult to decide which of the two parties would win the majority. Many times, the two parties were very close in terms of votes.
However, Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre had 91 candidates in the constituency from which he was contesting, and Pierre Poilievre lost his seat. The same thing happened to NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, who also failed to win his seat. The NDP won 25 seats in the last election and this time they have only won seven seats. This is a big blow for the NDP.
While the team of Pierre Poilievre worked hard and jumped from 119 seats in the last election to 144 seats, the BQ in Quebec won only 22 seats this time instead of 34 in the last election and the Green Party won only one seat this time instead of two seats in the last election.
The three leaders accepted their defeat and victory and promised to remain loyal to the country of Canada. No one blamed each other or used any word of rigging, they took the defeat as a defeat and assured full cooperation with the incoming government. This is a sign of the love of a developed nation for its country.
We wish our country Pakistan would also hold clean and transparent elections during the elections and the losers would openly admit their defeat and move forward for the welfare of the country, but this is possible only when the public is aware and the election candidates have a patriotic spirit.
We hope that now our country Canada, God willing, will progress and move on a new path. The time has come to implement the promises made by the Liberal Party leader Mark Carney. However he spoke to Donald Trump on the phone immediately after the election and its positive impact has started to be seen. Now let us see how the Canadian government will implement national security and defense, trade tensions with the United States, economic policy, climate change, carbon tax pricing, health care and social programs, Canadian foreign policy, national integrity and governance.
A critical and important problem of Muslims is cruelty in Gaza, where the oppression has reached its peak for a year and a half, but there is no sign of peace yet, rather the severity of the oppression is increasing every day. On the other hand, India’s stubbornness and oppression in occupied Kashmir have reached dangerous levels. In this matter, the Muslim representative has to play their role. And they should see what direction the House of Commons takes in this area
One of the best thing is that this time Muslim community including Pakistani Canadians participated in the election campaign vigorously. Across Canada, six Liberal Party candidates were elected from Ontario, and total 15 Muslim MPs will be in Parliament. This is a great news for the Muslim community. May Allah enable them to raise their voices in Parliament for the legitimate rights of Muslims and to raise their voices and fight for the issues facing the Muslim Ummah around the world. May Allah Almighty grant them the courage to speak the truth and speak the truth. Ameen.
