On behalf of our Pakistani Canadian Cultural Association of BC and our volunteers, I want to thank all of you for giving us the honor to get together on this auspicious day, Canada Day. I am hesitant to call it a celebration amid the discovery of hundreds of indigenous unmarked graves and many lives lost during the pandemic of COVID. We also are remembering the Canadian Pakistani family who lost their lives in London Ontario due to racism.
On this Canada Day, we celebrate this day by spreading awareness about our Canadian ancestors, acknowledging their pain, and taking responsibility to weave the threads together to make this society more strong and healthy.
Canada is the best country in the world and one of its main strengths is diversity where we are striving towards inclusive attitudes and encourage the adoption of tolerance, peace, love, and acceptance.
PCCA-BC was formed to promote these values and culture. Most of you have been equally been involved in this effort for the past decade or so and for that,
I thank you all for always standing with us. Let me thank our Chief Guest Consul General Janbaz Khan all our respected local Pakistani Canadian organizations, their represented were present to mark this event in the history of PCCA. I thank all our federal and provincial representatives also the respected community members our entire media our sponsors and our City Mayor honorable Doug McCollum.
I congratulate well-deserving community members who received the awards on Canada Day being our true heroes during tough COVID times for being there for the community. Congratulations Mr. Asad Gondal,

This was our first event during COVID restrictions and we wanted to bring more community members to this event but we had to limit the numbers.
Now when the restrictions are being lifted slowly and our community members getting vaccinated we will be bringing more colorful events throughout the rest of the year.
Our Team, thank the management of the Taste of Lahore for arranging a delicious dinner and organizing a great event for us. Thank You and we hope our community would also keep supporting our business.
