Alhamdulillah, Guildford Islamic Cultural Center (GICC) had a very successful fundraising event with community iftar and dinner on April 8, 2023. Before the event on the same day, over 500 free iftars were delivered to the homes of the community members who registered to receive free iftar delivery on the event day. The event featured GICC Masjid project updates from Br. Wasim Malik (Chairperson) and Br. Ammar Zaidi (Secretary).
The event also featured guest speaker Sh. Ahmad Shehab. He motivated the congregants and held a very successful fundraising with over $200K raised in one night for the GICC masjid project.
The event also featured auctioning of beautiful paintings of Masjid Al-Aqsa and Haram Al-Sharif created by a local Syrian artist.
Alhamdulillah the event was a tremendous success. May Allah (swt) reward all the brothers and sisters who participated and donated generously.
