It is with deep sorrow that we learn of the passing of Shams Jilani Sahib on Marc 31, a respected and beloved figure in the Canadian Muslim community, especially in British Columbia. His contributions were immeasurable, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Shams Jilani Sahib’s work as an author, speaker, poet, and community leader is truly inspiring. His 24 books, including those on the Seerat Nabi (SAW), provided knowledge and guidance to many, and his hundreds of videos on YouTube served as a source of inspiration for countless viewers around the world. As a regular contributor to Miracle Media and a member of its Editorial Board for 24 years, his voice and wisdom shaped the direction of the publication, influencing both the community and broader Muslim discourse.
He also had a deep knowledge of homeopathic medicines, which he generously shared with his family and friends
His columns in local and international newspapers, such as “Aalmi Akhbar” from the UK, offered valuable perspectives, and his deep understanding of Islamic teachings made him a source of guidance for people seeking clarity in their lives. His work extended beyond writing; he was also a philanthropist, a donor to noble causes in local mosques, and involved in international projects that benefited communities far and wide.
Shams Jilani Sahib’s commitment to civil society and his role as a guiding light for organizations like the CUA (Canadian Urdu Association) and various other associations in British Columbia speaks volumes about his dedication to the betterment of society. He was indeed a foundation for all of us, a compassionate human being who gave his time and wisdom to anyone in need.
His love for the Prophet (SAW) and Aulia Allah (Friends of Allah) was evident in his life and work. He lived his life with integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to serving others.
Shams Jilani Sahib leaves behind a remarkable family—his three sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren—who will continue his legacy in their own ways. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by thousands, but his memory and the impact of his work will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdous and give his family strength and patience during this difficult time. Ameen.

With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Br. Matiul Rahman Malick on March 22 in Vancouver. He was a dedicated member of the travel industry and an active participant in cultural, religious, social, and political events within the community.
The Miracle Media Team extends heartfelt prayers to Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant him mercy, forgive his sins, and bless him with the highest place in paradise.
