March 20th, the Bajwa and Cheema families hosted a Chaliswan
Khatum for the late Liaqat Ali Bajwa. The gathering took place at Fiji Islamic Centre, Surrey.
Mr. Bajwa succumbed to his illness on
February 6th 2022 at the young age of 70. He leaves behind his loving wife Samara, three boys – Ammar, Affan and Zohaib and their families, including 3 grandchildren. He is dearly missed by the entire family.
It was an emotional event for the family, still reeling from the unfortunate demise of the late Mr. Liaqat Ali Bajwa.
After a period of Quran reading, Maulana Ghulam Baji Imam and Khatib of Al-Hamza Mussalah Surrey, spoke beautifully about death, its acceptance for family and reminded those in attendance about the need to prepare for our own Akhira.
Peer Afzal Ahmed closed the program with a heartfelt and emotional dua in Urdu.
