On May 12, a Graduation and Awards ceremony was held at Masjid Al Noor. The Masjid was full of people who joined this spiritual ceremony to celebrate the inspirational efforts for kids. Masjid Committee Member Maulana Mohammed Sadaat was the master of ceremony of this event. Alhumdulillah Br. Raza Ahmed, son of Br. Muzammil Ahmed completed the memorization of the holy Quran in 3 years and after recitation of the Holy Quran by Raza Ahmed, a traditional Dastar Bandi was done in the presence of scholars and community members.
3 other young kids completed their Nazirah (reading of the Holy Quran), including Rayyan Ahmed s/o Br, Muzammil Ahmed, Ismail Ibrahim s/o Br, Ibrahim Kandawala & Abdul Karim Danakari s/o Br, Imran Danakari.
After they recited the few verses of Quran, the young boys received Awards from Guest Speaker Mufti Abdul Mujib Nadavi and a number of appreciation gifts. Mr. Janif Mohammad congratulated Hafiz Raza and other 3 Nazirah students.
After the Dastar Bandi ceremony , the Guest speaker addressed the crowd and spoke of the importance of religious education for our kids in Masajid and how much Allah (swt) blesses a Hafiz(someone who memorises Quran)and his family members. He requested the parents that in addition to the conventional education, you should send your kids to learn more Deen and Quran in Masajid, which will benefit all of us here and on the Day of Judgement. He also made the Duaa for these students, their families and all Muslim Ummah.
At the end, Maulana Sadaat thanked all the guests who joined him at Al-Noor Masjid to encourage the students and also thanked those who helped in making this program successful. He also thanked Br. Kandawala (Zabiha Foods) for his Monetary appreciation for the new Hafiz and other students.
