The Republic Day of Pakistan was celebrated on 23rd March in a simple and graceful ceremony at the residence of Consul General of Pakistan in Vancouver. The day’s events included a flag hoisting ceremony. Ms. Mishal Mezhar did the MC. The ceremony started with the recitation of Quran by Tabish Masood.
Mr. Fahad Amjad,Consul read messages from Mr. Arif Alvi President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister Mr. Imran Khan Niazi. Dr. Muhammad Tariq ,the Consul
General, first congratulated the Pakistani community and highlighted the importance of day in history of Pakistan.
He briefed the audience about improving situation of
Pakistan. He thanked everyone who joined him and his team at this historical occasion and the Flag hoisting ceremony.
The special cake cutting ceremony for 79th Pakistan Day was led by Dr. Muhammad Tariq and seniors members of the
Pakistani Community.
This special occasion cake was prepared by the family of Mr. Salim Karim.
At the end, delicious lunch was served which was prepared by Lahori Sweets and Restaurant Surrey Restaurant.
