By: Asma Shums,
I, as a person, I am responsible for my thoughts and actions. We are influenced by many things, what we read, see, watch and what we hear others say, etc. The circumstances and situations or our helplessness in certain matters. But inside of all the situations, it is ‘I’ me who takes decisions. We cannot control others but we can atlas try to control or channelize our own reactions. We can let it be a parent, teenager any relative, friend or coworker or any person we come into contact with, our character, our goodness and our strength does show in any situation and intact we can show our true self in adverse situations.
Osho Story:
There is this story about famous Osho Rajneesh. Somebody told him that why does he not sell his expensive car and help the poor. He said that he is not responsible for their poverty, his one-act will not end poverty and the poverty-stricken population is so large that all his wealth will not help them all.
The point here is that others or outside factors do not solve one’s problems or situations completely. They are outside factors or situations that affect us but it is our own thoughts, perceptions and principle ability and actions that ultimately shape our destiny.
Tough exam:
The exam for IAS officer is tougher than the exam of 12th grade and so is the candidate who are appearing for the respective exam The higher the post the higher the exam. This life is neither bed of roses nor thorns. It is a mixture of happiness and sadness, good, bad and a bit of everything.
Birth to Death :
Since a person is born, he goes on with first his genes, his family atmosphere, his upbringing, his lucky and his experience with this society his world. As and when he grows, we are constantly molded with all factors like a sponge. It all depends now that kind of sponge love we have in ourselves and how much can we absorb. Since we all human beings are coming in constant contact with others, interact at different levels, we tend to affect and influence each other.
In the end, if somebody gives us something and we don’t accept it, then it remains with the giver. If we refuse the negativity, it does not remain with us. We have tone strong to face the hardships of life. We have maintained good qualities even in adverse situations. It is very difficult but we have to. When children see their parents on a right path they get inspiration and when we see something in the society that is either right or wrong we can adapt this behavior. Ultimately good actions make a good society. They say an idea can change your life and with the right influence, it is the possibility to change our lives and future. Our duty as human beings is to live rightfully, honestly and kindly.
Just Chill: A teenager asked what is longing, helpless frustration. His mother replied disconnected the internet which turned the Wi-Fi off & his son said no more.
