On April 5, the Surrey and Delta BC NDP MLAs—Jessie Sunner, Jagrup Brar, Amna Shah, Garry Begg, and Ravi Kahlon—invited the Muslim community to a joyous Eid ul Fitr Celebration at the Aria Banquet & Convention Centre in Surrey. The event was attended by a large number of Muslim brothers, sisters, youth, and children.
MLA Garry Begg and MLA Amna Shah served as the Masters of Ceremony for the evening. The program began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Shaikh Fahim, who also spoke about the significance of Eid ul Fitr in Islam.
Each MLA shared their thoughts on the importance of Eid and expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and helped make the celebration a memorable one.
