A resounding win by conservative candidates in Alberta represents an ominous sign for Canada’s far-left prime minister Justin Trudeau, says a Christian educator and pro-family activist. United Conservative Party candidate Jason Kenney has been elected the new premier in Alberta, a province considered to be the Canadian version of Texas in the country of 10 provinces and three territories, and a population the size of California. In the closely-watched contest, Kenney and the UCP won 63 seats compared to 24 seats won by the New Democratic Party.
The conservative wins come after Trudeau’s administration has been rocked by scandal, when a now-former attorney general accused the prime minister of pressuring her to stop the criminal prosecution of SNC-Lavalin, a wealthy mining corporation based in Montreal. he conservative wins come after Trudeau’s administration has been rocked by scandal, when a now-former attorney general accused the prime minister of pressuring her to stop the criminal prosecution of SNC-Lavalin, a wealthy mining corporation based in Montreal.
Jody Wilson-Raybould secretly recorded the phone call with a Trudea aide who said his boss is “quite firm” in avoiding prosecution, and weeks later she was demoted in a Cabinet shuffle. Dr. Charles McVety, president of Canada Christian College, says people are “fed up with the nonsense of the socialistic ideas of the Liberals.”
He says the Liberal Party, in fact, failed to win a single seat in Alberta’s elections.
“They were blown right out of the water,” he tells OneNewsNow.
The lopsided wins in Alberta come after Liberals won seven of 120 seats in Ontario last year.
McVety says Trudeau and his Liberals are imploding in several provinces across Canada, and he is hopeful to witness them lose seats in October’s elections.
“And reduce that horrible Liberal Party to what it should be,” he says, “and that is a non-party in this country because it preaches a message of socialism and destruction. And it just must stop.”
