On July 16th, several Muslim community members and families attended this blessed Aushra Muharrum event at Faizan-e-Madina Surrey.
After the ‘Asr prayer the event started with some beautiful verses recitation of the Holy Qurana relevant to the event. It was followed by Nasheed (naat, praises of the beloved Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalam), and then a few couplets narrated about the Ahl-e-Bait (the blessed family of the last Messanger of Allah (Subh’anaHu Wa Ta-A’la). At which point the speeches began, the first one in English highlighting the importance of loving Imam Hasan and Imam Hussein (razi allah tala anhu) the grandsons of the Beloved Prophet(salallahu alayhi wasalam) references from the Holy Quran and Hadith.
The second speech in Urdu consisted of the thought-provoking event of Karbala and the endurance shown by the Ahle-e-Bait(RA), along with the lesson behind this sacrifice. Reminders of perseverance in worship, endurance, and trust in Allah almighty while remaining steadfast on the right path were the main topics discussed.
The speeches ended with Isal-e-sawab (conveyance of rewards) to the martyrs of Karbala as well as all the attendees, followed by a collective Dua. And then salutations were sent upon the Prophet of Allah(SWT) and all the Ahl-e-bait (RA)
The gathering ended with a Maghrib Prayer and a delicious dinner.
