Every person in the world except the atheist believes that Allah exists, and He is the creator of this universe and running this universe, but very few believe in Allah’s teachings and commands. We are Muslims, we believe that we belong to Allah. We do not deny that Allah, Lord of the Worlds is our Creator, Owner, and Sustainer. But when it comes to obeying Allah’s commands, we are confused. We assume it will not make any significant difference if we follow some commands and not follow others. But this is not the case when we profess to be Muslims, it is our duty to fully follow all the commands that Allah Almighty has given in the Holy Qur’an and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) through his Sunnah.
Faith has two aspects, one external and one internal. The outward aspect means praying, fasting, giving zakat, performing Hajj, etc., while the inward aspect is morals, trust, love of Allah Almighty, and fear of the Hereafter, etc. The outward and inward aspects together complete our faith. The journey of faith starts from the inside and ends with outward actions. In the Holy Qur’an, Surah Hujarat, ver #14, Allah
Almighty says, The Bedouins say: ‘We have believed.’ Say: ‘You have not believed. Rather say: We have accepted Islam. And the belief has not yet gone into your hearts. If you obey Allah and His Messenger (PBUH), He will not decrease anything (in reward) for your deeds. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful.’
Believing in Allah and accepting His commands seems to be a very difficult task. Because of this we must live within the boundaries of Allah Almighty and living within the boundaries means that we have to give up many things that we find very attractive and very beneficial in the worldly sense. We must control our desires.
Some people are well organized with a lot of prayer, fasting, Zakat and Hajj, but do not follow worldly matters such as business, politics, religious orders as per Allah’s Commands. Because in applying the commands of Allah in their personal life, their personal desires, habits and worldly interests are
affected. While Allah’s demands from us is that “People enter the religion completely” (Surah Al-Baqarah), that is, follow all the commands that Allah has given, and not like the hypocrites, follow which is easy and skip the hard .
The sign of a servant of Allah is that he does not leave any of His orders in any field of life, does not disobey His orders, no matter how much darkness life is filled with, no matter how many difficulties come, he sees only Allah, Allah alone.
He listens, and trusts in Allah alone. Because he firmly believes that whatever is from my Allah Subhan Ta’ala is good for him. And his Lord Himself will make things easy for him, and his Lord is Most Merciful, He will not leave him alone.
The mercy of Allah. If we want to be the servant of Allah, we have to face all the obstacles and challenges while staying within the limits of Allah.
Be guided by the life and Sunnah of the beloved Prophet (PBUH).
In the beginning, this task will seem difficult, but when the fruits of it will appear, life will become easier and so will the hereafter.
