On July 9, after a gap of almost three years due to Pandemic Covid-19, the Eid-ul-Adha Prayer was held at the school ground of Princess Margaret High School, Surrey. Thanks to the determination and dedication of event organizers and the management committee of BCMA’s Surrey Jamea Masjid and Rema Masjid, Surrey.
Thousands of Muslims poured in, to perform Eid ul Adha Prayers, the Sunnah Way.
A large number of Seniors, Women, children, Adults, and Youth from every shape, color, creed, and language came together for one reason only, to commemorate the Quranic tale of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice Ismail as an act of obedience to Allah.


The celebration was attended by Surrey Mayor Mr. Doug McCallum, Provincial Labour Minister Mr. Harry Bains, and Surrey-Newton Federal MP Mr. Sukh Dhaliwal. Mr. Bilal Cheema was the MC, and BCMA Surrey/Delta branch Chairperson Mr. Mohammed Janif welcomed attendees at the event, followed by a unity speech and message from BCMA President Mr. Asad Gondal. Both Imam, Mufti Mohammed Mouadh Surrey/Delta, and Imam Sheryar Bashir from Masjid Al Rehmah spoke on the importance of celebrating Eid Al Adha. The Eid prayer led and concluded with a Khutba from Mufti Mohammed Mouadh.
