The Night of Power – Laylat-ul-Qadr

Allah (SWT) has made this a night of immense blessing and virtue. In the Qur’an, Allah (SWT) says:
“We sent it (this Qur’an) down on a blessed night.” [Al-Dukhan 44:3]
What Is Laylatul Qadr?
Laylatul Qadr, also referred to as the Night of Power, is the most venerated night of the Islamic calendar. During this night, Angel Jibril revealed the first verses of the Holy Qur’an to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This night falls within the final 10 days of Ramadan, but its exact date remains unknown. It is, however, widely regarded as falling on the 27th night of Ramadan, though believers are encouraged to seek this night during the odd-numbered nights of the last 10 days. This night holds unparalleled significance. Allah (SWT) describes it in the Qur’an:
“We have indeed revealed this in the ‘Night of Power’. And what will explain to you what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah’s permission, on every errand. Peace!…This until the rise of Morn!” [Al-Qadr 1-5]

The Rewards of the Night of Power

Allahummainnakaafuwwuntuhibb al-afwafa’fu anni
(O Allah, You are All-Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me).”
Signs of Laylat-al-Qadr
Laylat-al-Qadr is a peaceful night, as mentioned in the Qur’an. According to an authentic report from the Prophet (PBUH), the sign of Laylat al-Qadr is that the sun rises on the following morning with no visible rays.
Zakat On Laylat-al-Qadr
