Friends of Pakistan(FOP) arranges Flag hoisting ceremony on Pakistan Independence Day

On August 14, Friends of Pakistan (FOP) celebrated the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan as the resident of the association’s President, Mr. Abdul Rauf. Guests were specially invited from all Pakistani community Associations but also from other ethnic communities. Mr. Amir Bajwa began the program and invited Saad Abul Salis for the recitation of the Quran. Mr. Abdul Salis then presented a Nasheed.

congratulated everyone on the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan and briefed them about the importance of the Aug 14th. In the end, he acknowledged the presence of all heads of associations included Seniors Pakistani community members, PTI, PCA, PCCA, PCWS, PCCA BC, and Print Media.
Keeping in mind that the month of Muharram was underway, Molana A.Latif Naumani delivered a Bayyan on Muharrum, and then reminded everyone about the sacrifices of all Muslim leaders who struggled in the formation of Independence of Pakistan before and after 1947. Another speech was from chief guest Lt. General (retired) Umar Farooq Durrani who introduced himself as a newcomer after his retirement from service. He joins his family here who has been in Canada for many years. He highlighted the importance of this day in the history of Pakistan, and what is the current role of Pakistan in that region and what overseas Pakistanis can do for their country. He acknowledged FOP team’s efforts towards the betterment of the Pakistani Community. FOP guests along with Molana Naumani and Mr. Durrani raised a Pakistani Flag in front of Mr. Rauf’s residence and Molana sahib made Duaa. In the end, a delicious lunch has been served at A. Rauf’s residence.
