We have lost a beautiful soul in our community. A very pious brother who dedicated his life for our Ummah a true servant of Allah.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother,
*Fikret Akkurt* of Richmond (father of Tamer Akkurt).Originally from
Türkiye, Br. Fikret was a pioneering member of the Richmond Jamia Masjid, and he is best known as the brother who held the donation box and the back of the Masjid every Jumu’ah for many years, where he also helped organize the prayer lines and gave out candy to the kids.
Haji Kasim Ali, was born and raised in
Sabeto, Fiji Island, passed away peacefully at his home in Delta, on Sunday night, March 31st, at the age of 78, He was known for cooking at the Fiji/Indian weddings, and social and religious functions. He was the Pioneer Member and Former Director of the Fiji Islamic Center and served as a volunteer member for over 20 years at Fiji Center.
Mst Hamida Khatoon, mother of Khadija Naseer, Safia Sultan and mother-in-law of
Naseer Pirzada (Miracle Media) passed away in Pirzada’s House Suurrey on March 19, 2024. age of 93.
May Allah grant peace and mercy to the
departed souls.
May Allah comfort all family members’ hearts and grant them peace amid this great sadness.
