A man was killed in a shooting at a Surrey home early Sunday morning, according to authorities.
Officers were called to a residence in the 13900 block of Laurel Drive at 1:40 a.m. for reports of shots fired, the Surrey Police Service said in a news release.
“Upon arrival, members located a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds. SPS members immediately rendered aid to the injured man. BCEHS attended, and the man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene,” the statement from police said. A man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody, according to the SPS.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.
