Letters for the 25th Anniversary celebration newspaper.
By Mahmood Awan
Celebrating a 25th anniversary for a newspaper is a wonderful milestone — it’s not just about the years, but the stories, voices, and community connections built along the way. Twenty-five years ago, The Miracle Newspaper printed its very first edition — a modest paper filled with local news, heartfelt letters, and a promise to be the voice of the community.
Today, that promise stands stronger than ever.
The pages of the Miracle newspaper have captured moments of joy, challenge, and change. The newspaper has celebrated local heroes, mourned losses together, and documented the growth of our neighborhoods, schools, and businesses.
Over the years, technology transformed how news is delivered. What began as ink on paper now reaches readers instantly through their website and social media channels — yet their mission remains unchanged: to inform, connect, and inspire.
Our community should appreciate the efforts that the Miracle Media Group has made and Br. Pirzada must be permitted to expand and distribute the newspapers in more locations where they can be accessible for the Muslim community. Brother Pirzada makes every effort and is diligent in providing local and international news and should be commended. I have been in business for the past fifty years in Richmond and I am requesting our community to fully support Br. Pirzada and his family in making the Miracle Media Group and in particular, the Miracle Newspaper the most recognized and widely circulated newspaper in Canada.
As the newspaper steps into the next chapter, my family and I would like to thank Mr. Mohammad Pirzada and the Miracle Media Group for making these 25 years possible. Here’s to the stories yet to be told.
Thank you,
Miracle’s continuous publication is not only merely a milestone
By Masood Lilla
It gives me immense pleasure and pride to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Naseer Pirzada, Chief Editor, and his entire team at Miracle Magazine on the remarkable occasion of its Silver Jubilee.
Completing twenty-five years of continuous publication is not merely a milestone—it is a testament to vision, resilience, credibility, and unwavering commitment to the community.
Over the years, Miracle Magazine has evolved into far more than a publication; it has become a trusted voice, a responsible platform, and a unifying force within our diverse society.
Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Pirzada, the magazine has played a vital role in the upbringing and development of the community. By providing authentic information, highlighting achievements, addressing challenges, and raising the voices of individuals from all walks of life, Miracle has consistently upheld the principles of responsible journalism and community service.
The magazine has also served as a bridge—connecting communities, fostering dialogue, and encouraging interfaith harmony.
In an age where divisions can easily surface, Miracle Magazine has chosen the higher path of inclusivity, understanding, and constructive engagement. Its coverage of community functions, cultural events, educational initiatives, and social issues has strengthened collective identity while promoting mutual respect.
Sustaining such a platform for twenty-five years requires dedication, sacrifice, and a clear sense of purpose. The editorial integrity, balanced reporting, and professional excellence demonstrated by the entire team deserve sincere admiration and appreciation. Their efforts have not only informed the public but have empowered voices that might otherwise have gone unheard.
As Miracle Magazine celebrates this significant milestone, I wish Mr. Naseer Pirzada and his dedicated team continued success, growth, and impact in the years ahead. May the next chapter of this journey be even more inspiring, innovative, and influential.
Congratulations once again on this proud achievement.
May Miracle Magazine continue to enlighten, unite, and uplift the community for many decades to come.

It’s my heartfelt pleasure to congratulate Mr. Pirzada and his team on the occasion of 25 th , silver jubilee of the fortnightly
“The Miracle”. The name of the newspaper suggests itself the marvel with which the newspaper has been dedicatedly published over the last quarter of a century. I can well imagine how hard and passionately the management of Miracle would have struggled to sustain its publication against all odds in a small Muslim community with few businesses and financing opportunities at the inception of The Miracle. Alhamdulillah, the community has grown over time and so have the businesses. When we moved to BC in 2005 from Toronto, we were delighted to have the opportunity to get the first-hand news about the happenings in Surrey,
Pakistan and especially, the activities of the Muslim community and the halal shopping options. On top of it, its regular publication and availability at the local mosques and businesses was a welcome
opportunity to have timely and accessible information.
Over all, I have noticed a gradual improvement in the amount of information, the variety and diversity of the topics and the issues, and increasing number of writers from various schools of thought and backgrounds. This well thought out and planned expansion of the contents of the newspaper has captured the interest of readers from different segments of society.
The efforts and input of The Miracle’s management and its team have not only upheld the journalistic standards of the publication but also improved its layout and design over time. A well-balanced inclusion of international topics, and increased coverage of Pakistani news and a broader coverage of local news has added to the significance of the publication.
A commendable role of The
Miracle management is to create awareness and motivate the Muslim community to become active in the political landscape of British
Columbia and Canada. Muslims were hardly visible at political events or were members of a
political party.
During my political activism while working at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, I saw a only a handful of Muslims at political events or during the provincial and federal election campaigns. A growing political interest and participation among the Muslim community is a desirable change which is going to benefit the Muslim community as a whole.
I am confident that Miracle will continue playing its role in promoting political activism through its coverage of political events and highlighting the role of the Muslim community’s social and political contributions. I extend my sincere wishes for the success of Miracle, humble prayers for the health, wellbeing, long life and enthusiasm of its management so that they continue serving the Muslim community with their sustained efforts and professional skills, Ameen.

Throughout its 25 years of runtime, Miracle Newspaper has positively connected to other communities and has taken it upon itself to bring our community’s collective voices to the forefront.
The best part of this paper is that we always get full coverage of all political and social happenings in Pakistan and detail coverage of Pakistani events with special editions on Independence Day, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Eid-Ul-Adha, Qaid e Azam’s and Allama Iqbal’s Days, ending of Year.
All of the writers who contribute their words to this paper have made this bilingual newspaper richer through their thorough coverage of different fields and categories.
Being a contributor feels like a being a part of big passionate family where every effort reflects our shared commitment and love for journalism, and my especial thanks to the Urdu writers who make the effort to keep the Urdu language alive and well. Miracle is undoubtedly an unbiased newspaper with a diverse readership. Miracle’s bi-weekly coverage of the happenings of our country and the world allow us all to remain connected.
Miracle Newspaper has an amazing readership and group of contributors, and I hope to see our Miracle News continue to flourish.
