When England play Pakistan in England you always fancy the home team to win but at the back of your mind you wonder which Pakistan team will turn up.
They are dangerously talented, unpredictable mavericks who are ruled by the moon. At their best they play on an emotional high and can be unstoppable, at worst they cave in too easily.
For all their limitations and disastrous winter tours of Australia and New Zealand England will be tough to beat, not because they are a very good team but mainly they have a few big time players in James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes who are experienced at playing on English pitches.
