The 11th Fusion Festival took place in Holland Park Surrey on July 21 and 22nd with its greatest turnout yet. The City of Surrey’s Fusion Festival was named the Thousand residents and visitors enjoyed BC’s largest multicultural event. The free two-day family event presented by Coast Capital Savings, SFU included over 53 cultural pavilions and over 100 performances on five stages. City of Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner and local MPs, MLAs, City Councillors and many other dignitaries were on the stage at the opening ceremony took place on a huge Stage in front of a large crowd. A beautiful Parade of all participating countries took place in which kids and adults waved flags of different countries with some displaying country names on their hands. The turnout was good, and at evening time in the Musical shows captured better crowd. Pakistan, Fiji, India, Bangladesh, China, Afghanistan, Palestine with many other countries were also contenders among the popular pavilions at the event. Pakistani BBQ stall and Mr. Farooq Rai’s Paintings, Cloths, Jewellery and crafts were in one pavilion.
