The Islamic Association of Western Canada Raises $275,000 for Masjid Aulia Allah Surrey

On March 15, the Islamic Association of Western Canada organized a fundraising dinner for Jamia Masjid Aulia Allah, which is in the final stage of construction. Mr. Arjumand Thair was the MC of this fundraising dinner. Many Surrey and Vancouver residents participated in this gathering at Taj Park Convention Centre in Surrey. After the recitation of the Quran, a few Naats e Rasool Maqbool were presented. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy clearly described the vision of Masjid Aulia Allah to everyone in the audience. Imam Muhammad Asim from UK was the main keynote speaker, He motivated the audience to donate to this under-construction project with the reference to the Quran and Hadiths. Mr. Asad Ghondal also strongly appealed to donate generously. Alhamdulillah more than $275K has been raised, including the $200K Qarze Hassna. The financial and construction situation of this project has been told, under construction at the final stage Masjid is located at 127th Street and 100th Ave in Surrey.
