On June 1, Ms. Ashiana Khan Hanif launched of her new 24/7 106.9 FM radio broadcast through Media Waves at Reflections Banquet Hall, Surrey. Few of Surrey City Councilors
, communities’ members, Associations members, Business community and the Canadian Muslim Media Club directors were participated at this Media Wave Radio launched ceremony. Ms. Kuljeet Kaur (Media Waves Radio Anchor) invited the senior community members for the inauguration at stage, after that she delivered the opening remarks and thanked all the communities support and highlighted the efforts of Ms. Khan. Ms. Ashiana Khan said in her address “It’s important for all of us the insurance will become a voice that is heard, and I can say it’s a confidence that over the last 8 years we’ve been hurt nasty, I’d like to thank my entire Media Waves team both here in Surrey British Columbia and our team working in India. First, I want to thank my Didi Ms. Kuljeet Kaur and rest of my well wishers included City Councillors and many of seniors and community members. I’d like to thank elder brother who has given us is permission to put our antenna for 106.9 FM. I hope we can continue to do great work collectively. I’d like to bring it to everybody’s attention target was not easy to launch 106.9 FM today, was on air live on Monday on Tuesday we went live on Wednesday until 4:30 p.m. when somebody vandalized our equipment, we must go through all this community. I also would like to bring it to your attention that media waves team knows who is that person, I have a video recorded but due to our RCMP investigation, I can’t disclose. Ms. Ashiana also announced that an independent TV channel is in the works. Once again thank you so much for taking all your time and come out here.
