Meditation is the delicate art of doing nothing and letting go of all the efforts to relax into your true nature which is love, joy, and peace. Meditation is that which relieves you from day to stress quickly and gives you deep rest.
The benefits of meditation are observed even in scientific researches conducted worldwide. A calm mind, good concentration, clarity of perception, improvement in communication, inner strength, and relaxation are all-natural results of regular meditation. In today’s world of stress and a host of other negative emotions, meditation is not a luxury, but a necessity for positive & peaceful life.
It is said the root of an illness is in the mind/consciousness. So, by attending to the mind, clearing it of any disturbances, the recovery speeds up. Illnesses can develop from:
•violation of natural law: for example, overeating
•imposed by nature: for example, common cold, or an epidemic
•release of past impressions or karma.
Nature itself provides a cure for these illnesses. Health and illness are part of physical nature. Meditation helps to let go of stress, worries, and anxieties. This results in a positive state of mind, which in turn has a positive impact on the physical body, brain, and nervous system. Consequently, illness decreases.
One of the secret understanding of illness is that when you worry about illness, you give more power to it. You must remember that you are a combination of health and illness. When you know this and have a ppositive state of mind then illnesses gradually disappear.
Prana (life energy) is the basis of health and well-being for both, the body and mind. You can gain prana through meditation. When your body is alive with more prana, you feel alert, energetic, and full of life. Lack of prana results in lethargy, dullness, and low enthusiasm levels.
Meditation is essentially relaxation, so it should be done entirely at your convenience. Choose a time when you know you are not likely to be disturbed and have the freedom to relax and enjoy. The hours of sunrise and sunset are also ideal for meditation. These hours are the time when there is a serene calm at home too, which will help you to meditate easily.
