In British Columbia, ISNA Canada follows the same schedule as the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), along with the other Masajids including, Jameh Masjid Vancouver,
Masjid Aulia Allah, Guildford Islamic Centre, Madina, Masjid, Fleetwood Islamic Centre, Fiji Islamic Centre, and Faizan e Madina celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH on Friday, March 20, 2026. MAC determines this date using astronomical calculations, following the methodology of the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA). Because their method relies on pre-calculated
lunar positions rather than local physical sightings, they provide these dates well in advance to ensure unity and clarity for the community.

Services of the BC Muslim Association, we are pleased to announce that the month of Shawwal 1447 AH will commence on Thursday, March 19, 2026.The Board has verified the sighting of the crescent moon on the evening of the 29th of Ramadan. The moon sighting was confirmed by official authorities in Afghanistan(Supreme Court), Mali (Ministry of Religious Affairs), and Niger (Islamic Council of Niger).
