Qirat and Azan Competition hosted by Young Ummah in Surrey Jameh Masjid

On August 11, Young Ummah has initiated another aspiring event for the youth in the lowermain land. 1st Voice of Islaam Qur’aan and Adhan competition took place in Surrey Jamaie Masjid. We had over 65 participants competing at this beautiful event. We had participants as young as 9 years and as old as 55 years participating in this fruitful event. In addition, reciting Qura’an through memory had three categories; Tier 1 (18-25), Tier 2 (13-17) and Tier 3 (9-12) years of age. Likewise, Adhan had two categories; Tier 1 (16-Up) and Tier 2 (9-15) years of age.
Alhumdiallah, we would like to thank all the participants and encourage everyone to keep exceling towards the book of Allah and find ways to perfect the recitation of the Holy Qur’aan in a manner where all mighty Allah SWT is content with is slave. The winners of this year’s competition is as follows:
Tier 3 Qur’aan: 2nd Place: Usman Yousuf
1st Place: Sulaiman Beg
Tier 2 Qur’aan: 2nd Place: Waleed Zubair
1st Place: Amar Dawood
Tier 1 Qur’aan: 2nd Place: Rashaad Khan
1st Place: Zakariyya Jama’
Tier 2 Adhan: 2nd Place: Waleed Zubair
1st Place: Furqan Memon
Tier 1 Adhan: 2nd Place: Kamran Khalid
1st Place: Amar Dawood
Lastly, Young Ummah would like to thank all the volunteers who helped and made this event a successful one. Without the help and support our beloved volunteers, we would have not been able to accomplish this milestone; therefore, Young Ummah sincerely thanks Br Tayyab Qazi, Br Hammadullah Qazi and Br Asim Hassan and all the other volunteers to helped planned this event and made it happen. We would also thank the Surrey Delta branch who helped us budget the event. We pray to Allah SWT that he enables us to do work of Deen and help our community get connect with Allah SWT. Ameen
